"JAAN", a Koszalin based, civil partnership company was established in June 1991 by Janusz Jankowiak and Andrzej Wozniakowski. Today, the company's headquarters, their central store and the manufacturing facilities are all located in Koszalin.

The company owns also 29 branches throughout the whole country, dealing with automotive glass sales, fittings and repairs. The biggest branches in Bialystok, Bydgoszcz, Gdansk, Katowice, Kraków, Lódz, Poznan, Warszawa and Wroclaw have been turned into the wholesale stocks which made it possible to supply other Polish independent companies specializing in distribution of automotive glass.

Following the increase of the company's turnover a possibility occurred to buy parts and accessories directly from the world's biggest manufacturers. In 1996 JAAN opened their own factory producing laminated windscreens, called NORDGLASS. The yearly output of the factory amounts to 400,000 pieces 50 per cent of which are being exported.

NORDGLASS sell their products to almost all European countries and to Africa. In the nearest future the company plan to sell also to America. The factory employs 138 persons whereas the whole JAAN group has 300 employees. In April 2001 the company underwent changes in its legal status, separating the manufacturing part of the company which formed "NORDGLASS Sp. z O.O."

Such change will contribute to further improvement of the supplies to the customers due to a better control over the separated businesses.


In March 2003 JAAN signed a franchise agreement with Belron, the world's leading vehicle glass repair and replacement (VGRR) company.
